WHEN THE WIND STANDS STILL AMONG THE VINEYARDS OF BERGAMO
Vento Fermo is a red wine made from Merlot grapes grown in the Bergamo area, an authentic expression of the Bergamasca IGP appellation. It is crafted through a meticulous production process that begins with hand harvesting in small crates and continues with a strict selection of the grapes both in the vineyard and on the sorting table. The whole berries undergo temperature-controlled fermentation after careful cooling, preserving the fruit’s aromatic integrity and the distinctive characteristics of the original grapes. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour with violet highlights, while the nose reveals aromas of cherry, plum and fresh fruit, enhanced by elegant vinous notes. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious and velvety, with an enjoyable drinkability that makes it particularly versatile for food pairings. Ageing in stainless steel tanks for 6–8 months enhances the varietal purity of the Merlot, resulting in a wine that is approachable yet never ordinary, ideal alongside fresh cheeses, delicately seasoned cured meats and roasted meats. Thanks to its balance, it complements flavours without overpowering them, enhancing both traditional starters and main courses. The recommended serving temperature is between 15°C and 17°C, ideal for highlighting its aromatic profile and pleasant freshness on the palate. A wine created for restaurants, wine bars and hospitality venues wishing to offer their guests an internationally awarded label capable of expressing the essence of the Bergamo territory through authenticity, meticulous craftsmanship and quality in every glass.
