THE FLAVOUR OF THE MOUNTAINS OF THE AOSTA VALLEY Reinhold Speck Bertolin is made from a selection of high-quality raw materials. Pork legs are deboned, trimmed, and marinated with salt, pepper, and aromatic mountain herbs for a balanced and enveloping flavour. Slow smoking with beech wood and dried juniper enhances the natural aroma of the meat without masking its sweetness. A minimum ageing period of 120 days gives Reinhold Speck its unique taste, fragrance, and texture. This artisanal preparation revives the ancient Walser tradition, still alive in the Gressoney Valley, where smoking and Alpine culture have been passed down for centuries. Perfect as an appetizer or to wrap baked cheeses. Store in the refrigerator between 0° and +6°C (or in a cool, airy place) and remove from vacuum packaging about 15 minutes before consumption to release the full aroma and flavour.
