Barolo chinato

Description

Barolo Chinato: with small pieces of China Calissaia and China Succirubra bark are steeped in an infusion of alcohol and "classic" Barolo. 16% Vol. Contains sulphites. A mixture of flavoring spices is then added including gentian root, rhubarb, cardamom seeds, sweet and bitter orange, and cinnamon. Finally some "classic" Barolo, sugar and alcohol. Pio Cesare was established in 1881, founded by Pio Cesare, an entrepreneur who decided to produce a small and select quantity of wines from from the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco. The winery follows tradition by staying true to the style of the wines, and placing more attention to the name and credibility they hold. Perfect tasted as a digestif.
